Based on the Mazda RX-Vision Concept, which was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the Mazda RX - Vision GT3 Concept is modified to comply with the FIA GT3 rules for racing cars, and also complies with its own Gran Turismo Sport rules in its category, Gr.3.
While the original cab and doors are maintained in accordance with GT3 rules, the front and rear parts have been expanded and the bumper has increased in width. A generous air grill on the hood improves both aerodynamics and cooling of the engine area, while the front and rear spoilers along with the rear diffuser increase the pressure. In addition, both ground clearance and overall vehicle height have been reduced to optimize aerodynamic performance.
The removal of heavy materials and non-essential internal parts has led to weight loss and a lower center of gravity. Equipped with a new generation 4actor Skyactiv-R engine, 570 liters. with., installed in front of the center, the concept has an almost ideal weight distribution of 48:52 (front and rear).
